Now when David heard of it, he sent Joab and all the army of the mighty men." 1 Chronicles 19:8
These mighty men were men of valor and highly respoected by the people of Isarael. These men had made a difference in the Nation of Israel. And so, too, we have many men within our church who have stood fast and are respected by our congregation. Too often we only come together for church services, Bible studies, and some fellowship with our members at a banquet.
Pastor Kevin and myself, Michael Fry, are starting a lunch group called Mighty Men/Mighty Men of Valor. The purpose is to come together in fellowship and break bread; tell other men who you are; what you have done; how God has made a difference in your life; and lift up one another in prayer and deed in times of need.
We will establish a monthly lunch for about an hour to an hour and a half at various local restaurants. Sign up at the table outside of the Main Sanctuary on Sundays or call the church office at 831.637.2635, so we can keep you informed and develop a group of worthy Mighty Men of God and become a force of valiant soldiers for Christ Jesus' army.
